*Due to the outbreak of Equine Influenza plus the server drought conditions within the South East Queensland region and the cancellation of many Campdraft competitions, the 'Buckle Series' and 'Encouragement Awards' for 2007 will not be able to be run.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has been involved in the series so far. Once we are given the green light regarding the Equine Influenza and with the continuing rain producing better conditions throughout the state, we will be arranging another 'Buckle Series' and 'Encouragement Awards' competition in Queensland. At present we are negotiating with a committee to run a 'Buckle Series' in the Northern Rivers district of New South Wales.

BRIGALOW ENCOURAGEMENT AWARDS

The year of 2005 was the development year for the 'Encouragement Awards' by Brigalow Country Clothing Pty Ltd. With the help of a select number of committees, Brigalow introduced these awards in recognition of the time and effort competitors in 3 Divisions put into their sport. These divisions were Juniors, Juvenile and Ladies Maiden Events

The 2006 season is going to be even bigger as not only are we planning to continue with the 'Encouragement Awards' for the 3 Divisions with each winner receiving a clothing or merchansie voucher at each Campdraft, we are introducing a 'Buckle Series' to be decided over 6 NOMINATED campdrafts.
